Securely Delete Using Eraser

During Data Cleanup, Recycling will accept boxes of sensitive or Confidential documents that need to be securely destroyed. If you have 10 boxes or more they will pick them up by December 21 if you call by December 14 for during the early participant phase.

If you have 1 - 9 boxes of sensitive or confidential documents you can drop them off at the Solid Waste Management & Recycling department on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

If your building has the secured/locked GT Recycling bins, you can use them for small amount of documents. The bins will be picked up during the regular scheduled pickup cycle during the event.

Securely Delete Using S_Delete for Windows

Non-sensitive documents, magazines, brochure etc. should be discarded using the blue recycling bins located in your building.

When shredding, use a plastic bag to collect the shredded material and toss the entire bag in the blue GT Recycling bins.

The last pickup of the year for regular recycling is December 19.

To archive to the Department fileserver just copy or move your files from your hard drive, DVD, or CD.

DO NOT store credit card data on the file servers.

Securely Delete Using S_Delete for Mac

Recycling does not handle CD's and DVDs.

CDs and DVDs containing sensitive data should be shredded with crosscut shredders, bagged, and discarded in a regular trash can.
